Travel Documents:
Costa Rica, like most countries, requires you to have a U.S. passport valid 6 months from the date of your trip. If you do not have a valid passport the airlines will NOT allow you to board the airplane. Please check the expiration date on your passport!!! If you have any questions, please call us or your travel agent.

Packing For Costa Rica:
Pack lightly, leave your good suitcase at home. The duffel bag is the way to pack and is easier to load on the private charter planes.

San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, is a very informal city and the temperature is usually in the 70's and 80's. Slacks, sports shirts and a light jacket or sweater are proper attire for the airport, nightclubs, casinos, and most hotels. At the lodge, dress is casual. Pack for a tropical climate. Shorts, T-Shirts, light weight shirts (both long and short sleeved), and long pants are a must.

Parismina is close to the equator, and the sun is very intense, so come prepared to cover up. Don't forget a hat that will protect your face, and a good sun screen (#45 preferred). It can be cool at night and in the early mornings, so it is a good idea to bring a light jacket. Bring a swimsuit to enjoy our poor an jacuzzi, or try your luck at catching world class Snook in the surf.

Parismina is situated at the edge of the Tortuguero National Park in the rain forest. Bring your rain gear and an extra pair of tennis shoes. Items like a small flashlight, sunglasses, and a camera with lots of film and extra batteries are a must.

A lot of extra clothing is not needed, as a light laundry service is provided a the lodge. Also, be sure to pack any personal medicine you take, as there is no corner drugstore down the street.
